Terms of Service

Welcome to PolySub ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PolySub website and subtitle studio at polysub (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

PolySub provides AI-powered subtitle transcription, editing, translation and export tools for video creators. You upload audio or video files; our Service generates subtitle tracks you can edit, translate and download in SRT or VTT format.

2. Eligibility and License Keys

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Paid plans are activated with a license key issued at purchase. License keys are personal, non-transferable, and may not be shared, resold or published. We may revoke keys that are abused or shared publicly.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to process;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt or overload the Service;
• Use the Service to generate subtitles for unlawful, infringing or harmful content;
• Circumvent usage limits, free-tier quotas or license validation;
• Scrape or bulk-download the Service's content or infrastructure.

4. Your Content

You retain all rights to the files you upload and the subtitles you create. By using the Service you grant us a limited license to process your files solely to provide the Service to you. Uploaded source files are permanently deleted from our servers immediately after transcription completes. We do not sell your content and do not use it to train machine-learning models.

5. Payments, Subscriptions and Refunds

Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, our merchant of record. Prices are shown in USD and exclude any taxes that Waffo Pancake is required to collect. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the paid period. Unused video credits do not roll over. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Service Availability and Limits

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Free plans are limited to 3 videos and 1 translation language per video. Individual uploads are limited to 25MB. We may change limits or features with reasonable notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated subtitles and translations may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing output before publication or distribution.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 7–9 survive termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
